A mentor at SXSW 2017, a veteran and member of Vets That Code meetup group, and an Eagle Scout. A perfect day for me is a hike with my wife and Husky on a sunny day in Austin, TX.
I work as a Developer for Deloitte writting mostly Java with some Nodejs and Ruby sprinkled in. Before working with Deloitte I woked at Galvanize as an Instructor for a 6-month coding bootcamp. While at Galvanize I created two coding meetups that are now one of the largest tech groups in Austin.
Before ending up in Texas, I worked as a Java Developer with American Express on Big Data Smart Offer Platform in Phoenix. My previous work experience includes LivingSocial, United States Coast Guard, and R.R. Donnelley.
My programming experience includes Java, RoR, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, SQL Databases, TDD (RSpec, Capybara, Selenium), RESTful APIs, Version Control (Git, SVN), Agile Practices through Rally and Pivotal Tracker.
